It was great to see so many of our regular supporters in the audience. For those of you who did miss out don't be alarmed. This performance as a part of the Midsumma Festival is only the first instalment. For all of our Marlowe fans stay tuned for future opportunities to view this great piece of theatre.

Thank you so much to Lighting Designer Michael Jewell and Photographer Sarah Walker for their continued support and hard work.

Cardboard Suitcase Productions

Co-Founders, Vanessa Cole and Sarah Kelly are jetting off to the USA at the end of February to work for an exciting American/Australian theatre company dedicated to the notion of international theatre exchange. You know Doorslam have always been passionate about actively promoting Australian theatre. Cardboard Suitcase is not co-producing this venture with Doorslam so we are very excited to be able to work for someone else for a change and learn some new skills!

If you've known the team for a while you'll remember Mark Wilson, Steph Lillis and Sarah Kelly performing in Violent Delights which has had three successful productions in Melbourne, Australia, and it's now been selected for an extended time slot at the 2010 Phoenix Fringe. Violent Delights is an original production that explores the violence and brutality inherent to Shakespearean work. Twenty-one scenes drawn from some of Shakespeare’s most popular works, tied together with the grotesque clowning method bouffon, take the audience on a comic and sinister journey exploring the strange delights we humans often take in violence.

Stay tuned for more updates and a possible sneak peak at our exciting new film.
